Paniolo Hale, Molokai, Hawaii
Our VERY attractive and spacious condominium, Unit S1 at Paniolo Hale, is a two-story townhouse. On the upper floor is the bedroom with a balcony and a bathroom with a washer and dryer. All linens are furnished. On the lower floor, we have a full kitchen, a living-dining room, a second bathroom and a screened lanai. Since ours is an end unit, the side lanai extends along the side as well as the front. The kitchen includes a refrigerator with ice maker, a dishwasher, an electric range, a microwave oven, and is fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils. There is a queen size sofa in the living room, and two roll-away beds are provided. Thus our condominium will easily accommodate four people. With all these conveniences and more--a radio, two color televisions with DVD players, a telephone--you will have an excellent base for exploring the surroundings and the entire Island of Molokai.
Paniolo Hale, in the Kalua Koi Resort area, on the northwestern tip of Molokai, is bounded by the Kaluakoi Golf Course* and beautiful Kepuhi Beach. On the premises you will enjoy using the fresh water swimming pool and the gas barbecues. Adjacent to Paniolo Hale are Papohaku Beach with three miles of white sand, and the Kalua Koi Resort. A number of beautiful beaches are located very near Paniolo Hale within a short walk. Nearby, Molokai Ranch is located in Maunaloa, only a 15 minute drive from the condominium. Paniolo Hale is built around beautiful gardens and large trees providing beautiful vistas.
For more sightseeing, rent a car and enjoy Molokai with its uncrowded and unhurried old Hawaiian atmosphere. Most of the island is pristine countryside, from the beautiful rolling expanse of West Molokai to the spectacular mountain peaks at the center. The scattered settlements recall an older Hawaii. See the nearby small town of Maunaloa, or drive to the tropical end of the island to the forested Halawa Valley with its secluded beach and cascading Moa'ula Falls. Along the way, watch for interesting and photogenic churches, the large coconut grove, the town of Kaunakakai with a main street only three commercial blocks long, royal fish ponds, lush taro fields, and, of course, the ever-changing shoreline. Another time, drive to the breathtaking Kalaupapa lookout, or perhaps even ride a mule down the winding path to Kalaupapa, Father Damien's historic colony. Enjoy these and many other attractions of Molokai, and then return to Unit S1 at Paniolo Hale to relax-- your home away from home.
